As the temperatures drop and the days get shorter, Mrs. Gragg's first and second grade class warms up! Many fun and educational activities take place on a daily basis! The kids are learning so much and really enjoying the change of scenery in the classroom as we continue further into our Fall units, math stations, reading stations, information booklets, and field trip experiences!
A New School Year Begins!
Excitement filled room 204 as eleven happy first and second graders began a new learning experience. Only a few days have passed but we have been busy settling in. Our mornings are filled with D'Nealian handwriting practice, number of the day, number talk, and daily oral language. We are practicing building our "stamina" as we implement the "Daily Five" in language arts. We can use manipulatives correctly and know the difference between toys and math tools. We know "mathematicians" use math tools to help plan and solve math problems.
