Mrs. Gragg
About Me
When you love what you do, it's not a job! I LOVE teaching! I am currently in my forty-first year! I have been a part of William's Academy faculty for the past 11 years! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Early Education. I strive to challenge, encourage and love each child. My wish is for my kinders and first graders to enjoy school and come each day with an excitement for learning. Their future success in school begins with me and I take that responsibility very seriously. With the end in mind, my goal is to see each child graduate from high school with a feeling of worth and accomplishment.

About Me
I love being a teacher's assistant. I have my Bachelor"s Degree in Secondary Education. This will be my 28th year in education and my fourth year at the academy. Mrs. Gragg and I have teamed together for 17 years in a combination classroom. Working with young students brings a joy and gratitude like no other. In a recent conversation, someone asked me if I liked my job; my answer-- without hesitation, "Yes! I get to go to school and play everyday with some amazing students! We have so much fun that our students don't even realize that we are learning through the process."

We are very busy here in room 204! Students are working diligently to complete "I can" statements centered around reading/literacy, writing/journalism, math/problem solving, manipulates, high order thinking skills, and plenty of physical activity/play! Our class offers hands-on activities to motivate and encourage each child to work to their full potential as 21st learners. The young learners work as a team and foster leadership skills as they often example peer teaching. Morning group-time opens up their minds to the wonder of numbers, place values, time, calendar, money, and problem solving. As the day continues, students engage in reading, creative writing, educational centers, science, art and music. Their energy is contagious as they explore our world through science and history. Their pure appreciation and fascination of these subjects is refreshing. I marvel every child's desire to learn regardless of ability. I work each day with a spirit of appreciation and thanks for the opportunity to be a part of these students educational journey. Our first graders are soaring on to dream it, believe it, and achieve it, in an atmosphere where failure is not an option!
